Solymar is a seaside resort in southern Uruguay and part of the Ciudad de la Costa .
geography
Solymar is located in the department of Canelones in sector 37 on the coast of the Río de la Plata . The seaside resort has now merged into the Ciudad de la Costa . In the west, Solymar borders on El Bosque , in the hinterland on Lagomar . The distance from Solymars to the city center of the western capital Montevideo is about 24 kilometers.
Infrastructure

Solymar has two secondary schools ( Liceo ). These are Liceo Nº 1 de Solymar , founded on March 21, 1972, and Liceo Nº 2 de Solymar, which started teaching on March 9, 1992 .
Culture
The Museo del Pan (German: Bread Museum) is located in Solymar .
