Diego Rossi , full name Diego Martín Rossi Marachlian , (born March 5, 1998 in Solymar ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.70-meter-tall offensive player Rossi has been a member of the youth department of Club Atlético Peñarol since 2011 . With the Montevideans he was used for the first time in a competitive game of the professional team on April 20, 2016 in the 4-3 win against the Peruvian club Sporting Cristal as part of the Copa Libertadores and was in the starting line-up. On April 24, 2016, he made his debut in the Primera División when he was also substituted on by coach Jorge da Silva on the 9th matchday of Clausura in a 3-1 away win against Club Atlético Rentistas in the 62nd minute for Diego Forlán . Overall, he played seven top division games (two goals) and one encounter (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Libertadores in the 2015/16 season, in which his club won the national championship . During the 2016 season he was used six times (one goal) in the league and once (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana .

Rossi completed under coach Alejandro Garay on January 6, 2013 at 0: 0 draw against Colón de Santa Fe as part of Mundialito Tahuichi Aguilera his first international match in the Uruguayan U-15 team and participated in the U-15 South American Championship 2013 in Bolivia part. There are a total of 24 international matches and twelve goals for him in this age category. Coach Santiago Ostolaza used him for the first time in the U-17 national team in a 3-0 away win against Paraguay on May 13, 2014 . Until his participation in the continental championship, he played 14 international matches and scored five goals. He was a member of Uruguay's squad at the U-17 South American Championship in 2015 and was used nine times (three goals) during the tournament. He has played for Uruguay's U-20 team since at least 2016 .
