Son Goku is a German rock band with influences from electronic and reggae music , founded in 2002.
Band history
The name "Son Goku" comes from the manga Dragon Ball , where Son Goku is the protagonist. The best-known member of the band is the rapper Thomas D from the Fantastischen Vier , including the singer Komi Togbonou. Other members are the drummer Bertil Mark , the guitarists Axel Hilgenstöhler ( Thumb , The Machine , producer for Ice-T and Afrika Bambaataa ) and Jochen Hornung as well as the bassist Paul J. Greco, who used to play with Chumbawamba . In 2002 the band released their first and so far only album Crashkurs on Four Music .
Music genre
The music on their only sound carrier so far is a mixture of various musical styles. Elements of hardcore punk , alternative rock and reggae were mixed with electronic music . Thomas D and Komi Togbonou took care of the lyrics and vocals.
