Soneren is a lake in the province ( Fylke ) Viken . It is in the commune of Sigdal .
location
The Soneren lies entirely in the commune of Sigdal in the former province of Buskerud , now the province of Viken. It extends in an elongated direction from northwest to southeast, in this direction the lake is also traversed by the Simoa River. On its southeastern bank lies the place Prestfoss , where the Simoa also flows away. The south-eastern part of the lake is somewhat separated from the rest of the area and is called Kråkefjorden. The northwestern bay is called Strandefjorden.

The Norwegian painter Theodor Kittelsen lived with his wife Inga in a house on the Soneren for eleven years. The lake can be found in several of his drawings.
