Sigdal is a municipality in Fylke Viken in Norway . It borders Flå in the north, Krødsherad in the east, Modum in the south-east, Øvre Eiker and Flesberg in the south, and Rollag and Nore og Uvdal in the west .

Most of the residents live in the localities of Nerstad , Prestfoss , Nedre Eggedal and Eggedal . The municipality is characterized by higher mountains and valleys. About 72% of the municipality is covered by forest, 20% are mountains in the subalpine zone, 4% are arable land and 4% are water. The inhabitants of Sigdal live mainly from agriculture, forestry and tourism.
