Nannestad is a municipality in the province (Fylke) Viken in Norway .

The municipality consists of large agricultural areas and a lot of forest, which also characterizes the economic life there.

Nannestad is located in the north-western part of Øvre Romerike and borders in the north on Hurdal , in the north-east on Eidsvoll , in the east on Ullensaker , in the south on Gjerdrum and in the west on Nittedal . All of these places are in the province of Viken. Nannestad is also bordered by Lunner and Gran in the province of Innlandet .

The parish consists of four parishes - from south to north are Holter , Nannestad , Maura and Stensgård . The highest point with 720  m is the Marifjell in the parish of Maura .
