Sonia Maccioni

Sonia Maccioni (born March 5, 1966 ) is a former Italian marathon runner .

In 1996 she finished fourth in the Paris Marathon . At the Half Marathon World Championships in Palma she came in 24th place and won the bronze medal with the Italian team.

In 1997 she was third in the half marathon competition of the Marrakech Marathon and eighth in the Boston Marathon , but did not reach the goal in the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Athens . At the Half Marathon World Championships in Košice , she finished 45th.

In 1999 she was the overall winner of the Venice Marathon, Italian champion.
