Sonia Pasteris (born June 2, 1966 in Asmara , Eritrea ) is a former Italian squash player .

Career

Sonia Pasteris played on the WSA World Tour from 1999 to 2004 . She reached her highest place in the world rankings with rank 67 in December 2001. With the Italian national team she took part in the world championships in 2000 and 2008 . She was also a member of the Italian squad at European Championships several times and represented Italy at the 2005 World Games , where she was eliminated in the first round. Pasteris was Italian champion in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005 and 2012 .
