Sonja Schünemann (born June 7, 1978 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German journalist and online editor at ZDF - Capital Studio .

life and career

Schünemann studied political science , sociology and media studies at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . She then worked as a freelancer for WDR and the AP news agency . In 2006 she worked as an editor for a production company that produces a knowledge format for private television . In 2007 she moved to ZDF in the editorial department of heute.de . Schünemann has been working as an online editor for heute.de in the ZDF capital city studio since 2010.

In 2012, Schünemann shot the short documentary Secret Pirates for ZDFinfo together with Lars Seefeld about the politicians Lars Klingbeil , Jimmy Schulz and Dorothee Bär who make network politics in their respective parties. Together with Lars Seefeldt, she created the report Trollitik - The lousy tone on the Internet in 2012 .

Schünemann is a responsible editor for the ZDF fact check.

For the 2013 federal elections she worked on a cross-media project called ZDFcheck . The broadcaster wanted to check the statements of the political applicants in the upcoming federal election campaign - if possible together with users on the Internet. The planned format was postponed or changed to small recordings.

Schünemann is a supporter of the equality initiative Pro Quote .
