Sonnberg is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Tragöß-Sankt Katharein in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
The cadastral community lies east of the Lamingtal and extends to the Wwohnalhochegg . Opposite is the cadastral community of Schattenberg .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 62 building areas with 24,900 m² and 33 gardens on 24,189 m² in the cadastral community of Sonnberg , in 1989/1990 there were 113 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 329 and in 2009/2010 there were 160 buildings on 331 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 201 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 822 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 167 hectares and 832 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 148 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 831 hectares. The average soil climate number of Sonnberg is 20.2 (as of 2010).
