Sophie Elizabeth Bradley-Auckland (born October 20, 1989 in Nottingham ) is an English football player . The defender is under contract with Liverpool FC Women , played for the English national team for the first time in 2010 and took part in the 2012 Olympic Games with Team GB .
Career
societies
Bradley started at her hometown club Nottingham Forest Ladies and moved to the Leeds United Ladies in 2006 , with whom she won the 2010 Premier League Cup . She then moved to Lincoln Ladies FC . For the 2014 season, the club changed name and location and now played its home games in Nottingham as Notts County . She completely missed the 2015 season due to a knee injury. In 2016 she only made four appearances and moved to the second division Doncaster Belles for the 2017/18 season . She helped that the club won the second division championship, but instead of taking the place it gained in the first division, the club was downgraded to the third division for financial reasons. Bradley then moved to the first division club Liverpool FC Women . She was used in all 20 league games and did not miss a minute as captain, but could only reach eighth place with the club.
National teams
Bradley played in the English U-19 team, of which she was the captain. In August 2010 Bradley made his debut in the English national team in a game against Austria . The 2011 World Cup is her first participation in a tournament. She was used in all three preliminary round matches and reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup with England. She was substituted on in the first two games shortly before the end, in the game against Japan that was decisive for advancement , she was in the starting line-up.
In 2012 she was part of Team GB, which participated in the Olympic Games in London. She was used in three games, but was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Canada .
In qualifying for the European Women's Football Championship in 2013 , she was used in seven of the eight games and scored her first international goal in the first game at 2-2 in Serbia . At the EM it was only used in the last group game, which was lost 3-0 to France .
Due to her knee injury, she missed the 2015 World Cup. In qualifying , she had three missions. The qualifying game against Belarus on June 14, 2014 will be their last international match.
