Sophie Vercruyssen (born February 22, 1992 ) is a Belgian bobsleigh athlete and Olympic participant.

Athletic career

Vercruyssen works as a pusher in the two-man bobsleigh. In the European Championship , it was together with Elfje Willemsen fourth and in the World Cup with Elfje Willemsen seventh. In the first race of the season of the 2015/16 World Cup , she finished second behind Kaillie Humphries and Melissa Lotholz together with Willemsen, which they achieved again in the third race in Königssee . In February 2016 she won silver with Willemsen at the European Championships in St. Moritz , which was the first Belgian European Championship medal in bobsleigh . She is a participant in the 2018 Winter Olympics .
