Sotzenhausen is a district of Blaubeuren in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . In the course of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg on January 1, 1975, the municipality of Pappelau was incorporated into Blaubeuren with the district Sotzenhausen.
The hamlet is about one and a half kilometers west of Pappelau.
history
Sotzenhausen is first handed down in 760. In 760 a richbold gave goods to the Murbach monastery in Alsace in "Zozihuhus". If this localization applies (also the expired Zizelhausen near Gächingen , municipality of Sankt Johann in the district of Reutlingen ), the hamlet that emerged in the early expansion period is the earliest named place in the area.
The few farms came from the von Westernach in 1431 (the previous owner was the Söflingen Monastery ) and in 1462 from the von Stein zu Grundsheim to the Urspring Monastery . With this, the place fell to Württemberg in 1805. Until 1834 he belonged to Schelklingen .
