The Soultzbach is a good eight kilometers long right tributary of the Moder in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region .

course

The Soultzbach arises in the Northern Vosges at an altitude of about 227  m from three spring branches at the foot of the Hohweinberg ( 372  m ) northeast of Weiterswiller . The stream initially flows in a south-westerly direction. Shortly before he reaches Weiterswiller, a small stream flows towards him on his right. At the northern edge of the village, it curves to the left and now runs through agricultural land towards the east. There it is strengthened by a series of field trenches. At the corridor In der Bruchmatt he changes to the area of Obersoultzbach , which he flows past to the south. To the west of Niedersoultzbach it is fed by another stream on its left side. It runs along the southern edge of the village and a little later flows north past Uttwiller . It then crosses under the railway tracks of the line to Strasbourg and shortly afterwards the D919 and finally flows into the Moder at an altitude of 179  m at the Soultzbach cherry orchard, southeast of Menchhoffen .
