The Soundtrack of Our Lives (TSoOL) was a Swedish rock band whose style oscillated between psychedelic rock , 1960s pop and rock . It broke up at the end of 2012.
history
The band was founded by singer Ebbot Lundberg and guitarists Björn Olsson and Ian Person in 1995 after their previous band Union Carbide Productions split up . Olsson left TSoOL in 1997 while working on the second studio album and was replaced by Mattias Bärjed. This was the only line-up change after the band was founded.
The Soundtrack of Our Lives was only successful in Sweden for a long time until they debuted in the USA with their third album Behind the Music in 2001. This work was nominated for Best Alternative Album at the 2003 Grammy Awards. With the album Origin Vol. 1 , which was released in Germany in October 2004, they toured the USA together with Oasis . In 2005 the double CD A Present from the Past was released, on which the band released unreleased material as well as B-sides and EP tracks, partly in a new mix. The next studio album with new material did not appear - as many expected - under the title Origin Vol. 2, but bears the name Communion and was released on November 22, 2008 - 40 years after the white album - as a double CD / LP in Scandinavia released. In Germany, the album was released in April 2009 on the Haldern Pop Recordings label . Even before the German release date of the album Throw It To the Universe in June 2012, the group announced that they would split up after a farewell tour at the end of the year. The solo debut There's Only One Of Us Here by singer and main songwriter Ebbot Lundberg was released in Sweden in May 2012 .
