The Southtrap rock (translated from English mutatis mutandis Südfallenfelsen ) is an isolated cliff rocks in the group of the Joinville Island group off the northeastern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located west of Cape Juncal on D'Urville Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1963 as the southernmost of the geographic objects dangerous to seafaring that should be avoided when entering the Antarctic Sound north .
