The Cape Juncal ( Spanish Cabo Juncal ) is a striking chapter , that of the northwestern foothills of D'Urville Island in the archipelago of Joinville Islands off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula forms.
Participants in an Argentine Antarctic expedition carried out from 1956 to 1957 named it in memory of the naval battle of Juncal (1827) off the Isla Juncal against the Brazilian Empire, which was victorious for the Argentine Navy .
