Life
His Speyer Chronicle of 1612, for which he was still able to fall back on the entire inventory of files from the imperial city of Speyer, is an important testimony not only to the history of the city of Speyer , but also to the history of the German city and the everyday history of the Middle Ages in general. It is often quoted as Lehmann's Chronicle . It ends with the death of Emperor Friedrich III. in 1493.
As a compiler he created the Florilegium politicum in 1630 . Politischer Blumengarten, Darinn unreadable political sentences, doctrines, rules and proverbs [...] collected in locos communes .
