The Spišsko-gemerský kras (literally Spiš - Gemer -Karst ) is a karst area in central Slovakia . It is named after the Spiš and Gemer landscapes and is part of the Slovak Ore Mountains .

The term is mainly used geomorphologically and in geology . From a topographical and touristic point of view, the names of the two parts of the Karst, the Muránska planina plateau and the Slovak Paradise , characterized by rocky valley gorges , are of greater importance. The highest peak is the Fabová hoľa (1439 m).
