Spiegel TV Reportage (spelling SPIEGEL TV REPORTAGE ) is a German reportage program produced by the Spiegel TV production company and broadcast on the Sat.1 television channel. The broadcaster Sat.1 itself is not responsible for the content, as this broadcasting slot is a legally required third-party broadcasting license .

In 2014, the station Sat.1 was released from the obligation to provide independent third-party providers with fixed broadcasting slots. Therefore, the broadcaster withdrew many programs from independent third-party providers. The reason for this was an incorrect award procedure. However, the station continues to broadcast the programs Focus TV Reportage , Spiegel TV Reportage and News & Stories on a voluntary basis "on a civil law basis", albeit on a different slot. Spiegel TV Reportage will now be broadcast from Wednesday to Thursday at around 0.15 a.m. instead of Monday at 11 p.m.

content

Spiegel TV Reportage has been broadcast on Sat.1 since July 3, 1990, initially on Tuesdays, later on Mondays and currently on Wednesdays. It is a television program that provides information on current topics from German and international political , historical and social events. Reports on entertainment and science topics are also shown. The contributions are produced by reporters at home and abroad.

In 2015 the concept was changed slightly. In the future, each month will be dedicated to a specific focus, so that four films each deal with a common main topic. In addition, the design and the theme music will be changed.

Charisma

In the early years, the program was broadcast on Tuesdays. From April 12, 1999 to 2014, the program was broadcast on Mondays. The start of broadcasts fluctuated during this period from 11:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. After Sat.1 was released from the obligation to provide independent third-party providers with fixed broadcasting slots, the program will now be broadcast in the night from Wednesday to Thursday at around 0.15 a.m.

The program has a running time of 30 minutes (including advertising). Since 2005 it has shared the broadcasting slot with the similarly conceived program Focus TV Reportage . They took turns after certain periods of time. Since 2008 Spiegel TV Reportage has been broadcast from January to June and Focus TV Reportage from July to December.

Theme song

The title melody of the show from 1990 to 2014 was called Rienzi and is an excerpt from the overture to the opera Richard Wagner of the same name. Since 2015 there has been a new opening credits sung by the rapper Kontra K. The title is adrenaline .
