Locker (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The locker was a German volume and field measure.

Area measure

The area measure Spint was mainly common in the north-western regions.

Volume measure

If the locker was used as a volume measure, it was a so-called grain measure, i.e. a measure for dry goods. Depending on the region, very different dimensional chains were used for lockers and the large dimensions, such as Malter , Scheffel and Winspel , also had a different volume in each location.
