The sports car races Parma 1947 , also Circuito di Parma , took place on July 13th on a circuit in Parma .

The race

Just one week after the Coppa Luigi Arcangeli , another sports car race took place at the Circuito di Parma . As in the week before, Carlo Pesci won the morning race for vehicles up to 0.75 liter displacement. The main race turned into a duel between the two Ferrari factory drivers Franco Cortese and Tazio Nuvolari . Cortese had won the races in Rome , Vercelli , Vigevano and Varese in the past few weeks . The pre-war top driver Nuvolari had won the Coppa.

The three-kilometer circuit had to be driven through 30 times. After a long race, Nuvolari won after a driving time of 57: 36.300 minutes, one second ahead of his teammate Cortese. Guido Barbieri was the only one who could almost keep up on a privately registered Maserati; At the finish line he was more than two minutes behind the two Ferraris.
