Franco Cortese celebrated the third victory in a row for Scuderia Ferrari in Vigevano with the 125 Spyder

The sports car race Vigevano 1947 took place on June 15 on a circuit in Vigevano and was part of the Italian sports car championship of that year.

The race

Three weeks after the first victory for the racing car manufacturer Ferrari at the 1947 Rome Grand Prix and two weeks after the success at the sports car race in Vercelli , Franco Cortese also triumphed with the Ferrari 125 Spyder on the Circuit de Vigevano , a street circuit through the city center of the Baboon City .

After a driving time of just over an hour, Cortese had a lead of one or two laps respectively on the Stanguellini pilots Vincenzo Auricchio and Guido Scagliarini , who finished 2nd and 3rd in the overall classification.
