Brittle leaves

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The division of living beings into systematics is a continuous subject of research. Different systematic classifications exist side by side and one after the other. The taxon treated here has become obsolete due to new research or is not part of the group systematics presented in the German-language Wikipedia.

Brittle leaves are characterized by brittle, easily splintering lamellae on the undersides of the hats of the fruiting bodies.
The brittle lamellae of the thick-leaved black-horned blubber ( Russula nigricans )

As Sprödblättler are large mushrooms with above ground, in hat and handle structured fruiting bodies from the family of Täublingsverwandten summarized (Russulaceae). It is named after the mostly easily splintering lamellas on the underside of the hat. The brittle consistency is due to the spherical cells in the meat .

history

By the term "Sprödblättler" the order was previously Russulales associated, as these only the two genera russulas ( Russula ) and Milk Caps ( Lactarius existed). In some mushroom guides the term was sometimes used as the German equivalent for the Russulaceae family .

Today, the name for the Russulales is obsolete, because the order includes not only milk lice and deaf lions but also mushrooms whose fruiting bodies do not show the typical external characteristics of brittle leaves. The same applies to the Russulaceae family.
