Achillea ligustica is a plant from the genus of yarrow ( Achillea ) in the family of Compositae (Asteraceae).
features
Achillea ligustica is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 30 to 90 centimeters. The leaves are 20 to 30 × 15 millimeters in size, ovate, flat and irregularly pinnately split in two. They have 5 to 7 sparsely protruding, irregularly lobed and 2 to 3 millimeter wide feathers on each side. The umbrella cluster is loose and consists of over 25 heads. The ray-flowers are white. The tongues are 1.5 millimeters long.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
Achillea ligustica occurs in the western Mediterranean , in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Spain, France, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily and Malta, Croatia, Greece and Crete. The species grows in phrygana and grasslands.
