Syringe (jaws)
A syringe is a device that is used to inject liquids (e.g. jam ), to decorate cakes or to make shortbread cookies . It is also known as a pastry syringe or cake syringe.
construction
A syringe consists of a cylindrical cavity, a movable piston and a nozzle . A hollow needle or a nozzle can be connected to this. Common syringes nowadays are made of plastic , previously made of sheet metal .
use
It is used in kitchens and pastry shops for temper rolling of whipped cream and creams, mayonnaise , mashed potatoes and the like to mostly decorative purposes or for shaping and portioning. It is also used to inject jam into Berlin pancakes .
In contrast to the piping bag, using a syringe is more laborious.
