Table tennis

The men's table tennis team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North in 1984, one of four regional seasons of the 2nd Bundesliga. The team ended the first three seasons mostly in the lower midfield of the table before qualifying for the now two-pronged 2. Bundesliga by a fourth place in the fourth year, from which they had to relegate in 1990. Two years later, the direct rise was achieved, which, however, was followed by relegation in the following season. In 1994 the Niedermärker rose again to the 2nd Bundesliga, before relegation followed two years later. Spvg Niedermark plays in the district league in the 2018/19 season. Zoltán Bátorfi , Kay-Andrew Greil , Dieter Lippelt and Evgueni Shetinin once played for Spvg .

Soccer

The footballers of the Spvg Niedermark rose to the district class in 1976 and two years later made it to the district league. In 1982 the team was relegated to the district class. Four years later, the Niedermärker were runner-up there behind FC Bissendorf, before they went down to the district league in 1989. Two years later, the team rose again, but had to relegate immediately. The direct resurgence followed in 1993, before a league reform cost relegation in 1995 when the number of district classes was reduced from eight to five. Since then, the team has been commuting between the district league and 1st district class.
