Srbín is a district of the municipality Mukařov in Okres Praha-východ . It is one of the three sub-communities of Mukařov, including Mukařov himself. Srbín is located in Středočeský kraj or in German in the Central Bohemian Region in the Czech Republic at 438 meters above sea level. The Mukařov Community Center is about 500 meters north and the city center of the Czech capital, Prague, is about 20 kilometers northwest of Srbín.
history
The first mention of Srbín is dated in the 12th century. It is believed that Srbín was founded by a soldier named Srba in the service of King Vladislav II , who received the estate for greater merit. This built a defense structure on the estate. In 1991 the place had 258 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 124 houses in which 331 people lived.
