Church of St-Etienne in Courances

The church of St-Étienne in Courances , a French commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was originally built in the 12th century. The parish church consecrated to Saint Stephen was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1981 as Monument historique .

The choir has been preserved from the 12th century . The rectangular defense tower dates from the 15th century, it was raised by one floor in the 16th century.

  • Wooden sculpture of Saint Vincent from the 17th century
