The Roman Catholic Church of St-Cyr-Ste-Julitte in Saint-Cyr-en-Arthies , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 15th century. The building has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1947 .

history

The church, consecrated to the martyrs Quiricus and Julitta , was built in the 15th century on the site of a previous building. Of this only Romanesque and Gothic remains of the vaults remain. The church was restored in 1648 under the architect Michel Fontaine. In 1747 major changes took place, financed by the castle owner Gédéon-René de Sailly.

The unadorned church with arched windows has a west tower , the ground floor of which serves as an entrance. A round window is set in a triangular gable above the portal .

Furnishing

The high altar from the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century has a painting depicting the birth of Jesus.
