The Church of St. Aegidie , also called Sankt-Egidius-Kirche , is a Protestant church in the Klein Germersleben district of the city of Wanzleben-Börde in Saxony-Anhalt .

The church is raised on a hill in the center of Klein Germersleben on Kirchstrasse and belongs to the Hadmersleben parish of the Egeln parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

Architecture and history

The church, designed in the neo-Romanesque style, was built from sandstone blocks in the years 1899/1900 . The steeple has moved into the richly structured church on the west side. The tower, built on a square floor plan, is crowned by a high, pointed helmet and is provided with four spiers .

The nave has five bays, the choir is also drawn in. There is a 5/8 degree to the east, spanned by a ribbed vault . In the choir there is a ceiling painting with a cross-ribbed vault. The stained glass windows, altar and pulpit also date from the construction period. In the top window of the choir there is a depiction of the Adoration of the Magi.

Several tombstones have been incorporated into the wall surrounding the churchyard. Some of the baroque tombstones have inscriptions and some have figurative representations.

In the local register of monuments , the church is registered as a monument under registration number 094 96677 .
