coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved by the district on February 15, 2010.
Blazon : "In silver a red, silver-grooved castle with a wide middle and two narrower side, pointed and spherical-crowned towers, the middle tower with three arched openings on the upper floor and an open gate, floating in it the shield of the ore monastery of Magdeburg, which is divided in red over silver Lateral towers with two arched openings each on the upper floor and one in the basement. "
The city of Wanzleben-Börde decided at its constituent meeting on January 8, 2010 to use the former city coat of arms of the current district of Wanzleben in a modified form. The change consists in the number and positioning of the windows, which symbolize the communities that merged to form the new city. The symbolism of the coat of arms relates to Wanzleben Castle in the sense of a communal house from which the districts can look to a common future. As far as the number of openings is concerned, the interpretation is 9 windows = 9 municipalities or 9 windows and one open gate = municipalities plus the city of Wanzleben with regard to the possible subsequent addition of the Klein Wanzleben community.
The coat of arms was designed by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .
flag
The flag is red and white (1: 1) striped (horizontal shape: stripes running horizontally, longitudinal shape: stripes running vertically) and centered with the municipal coat of arms.
