history
This place was mentioned for the first time in 1145. Neolithic finds ( linear ceramic culture ) in the district of Eilsleben indicate a settlement well over 5000 years ago. The existence of a castle (Beverburg / Bärburg) is first documented in 1206 in connection with its destruction. Until 1480 there were the two places Westereilsleben and Ostereilsleben, of which the latter was abandoned. At the end of the Middle Ages Eilsleben had the reputation of a town because the place was partially enclosed by a wall with two gates, as well as a town hall, a council scale and the right to brew beer.
Incorporations
Wormsdorf has been part of Eilsleben since January 1st, 2010. On September 1, 2010, the previously independent municipalities of Drackenstedt, Druxberge and Ovelgünne were incorporated into Eilsleben by law.

coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on October 10, 1991 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.
The coat of arms of those of Eilsleben as an old family coat of arms is not known to most citizens, but was already used in the Order of Carnival. The brewing coat of arms, as the guild coat of arms of an innkeeper with brewing rights, is known because it was already used by the village club, the volunteer fire brigade and the carnival club . Neither coat of arms found a majority in the municipal council. The now accepted coat of arms is a compromise between the two existing variants. The two symbols of the old coats of arms were arranged in the fields in chronological order. The common thing is the red - silver (white) tincture. As a sign that the coat of arms has only emerged today, the split was chosen from the middle. The letter "E" was used as a third symbol that is typical for this region, as a talking element for Eilsleben.
