The Frauenthal Holding AG is a European Austrian conglomerate headquartered in Vienna , mainly components for the European commercial vehicle industry produces. Another branch is the wholesale of sanitary ware and heating. The group was created in 1989 through a management buy-out from Frauenthal Keramik GmbH, later expanded to include various acquisitions and restructured several times.

history

In mid-2014, ÖAG, Austria's second largest plumbing wholesaler, was taken over. The heavy steel springs and stabilizers division was sold to TBC Netherlands on December 23, 2014 .

Holding

The holding company, which is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, operates 10 production sites in seven European countries. Around 2,700 people are employed in the group. In the 2014 financial year, the company generated sales of 637 million euros. The main shareholder of the holding is via several intermediate companies, Ventana Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH , also based in Vienna , whose shareholders are Ernst Lemberger and Hannes Winkler. To subsidiary Ventana among others, the property of the former weaving machine Schönherr include Chemnitz (founded by Louis Schoenherr ) and the French group Ventana Aerospace (civil and military aerospace industry).

Holdings

The holdings of Frauenthal Holding are divided - in simplified form - into the following operationally independent business areas:

  • Automotive Components (supplier to the automotive industry): The production facilities of the Automotive Components division are located in Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, Hungary, Portugal and Romania. The division was divided into several subgroups. On July 1, 2012, the brands listed below merged to form "Frauenthal Automotive".
    • Styria : leading European manufacturer of leaf springs and stabilizers for heavy trucks and trailers; around 1500 employees.
    • Linnemann-Schnetzer (L + S): European market leader in steel and aluminum pressure vessels for truck brake systems ( compressed air brakes ).
    • Pol-Necks , Poland: largest European manufacturer of clamps (U-shaped fastenings for fixing leaf springs on truck axles)
  • SHT Haustechnik AG (previously: Pinguin Haustechnik AG): Wholesaler for sanitary, installation and heating technology. Frauenthal Holding acquired this business area in 2005. SHT Haustechnik is the market leader in Eastern Austria and, in addition to branded goods, also has its own brands Prisma and SaniMeister. In 2006, SHT Haustechnik AG achieved sales of around 200 million euros with 650 employees. The area was expanded in 2007 through the takeover of the heating wholesaler Röhrich Heiz und Industriebedarf Gesellschaft mbH (Salzburg) under renaming to SHT Röhrich .
