coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on September 15, 1995 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.
Blazon : "In gold, two red, silver-armored lions facing each other, holding a red heart in their paws, from which three green-studded red roses sprout with gold and green leaf tips."
The colors of the former municipality are red - gold (yellow).
The coat of arms of the two facing red lions on a golden shield, holding a red heart in their paws from which three roses sprout, is in the State Archives of Magdeburg from the 1930s and was drawn by the State Archives Councilor Otto Korn (1898–1955). It is possible that his model was the coat of arms of an extinct noble family of the place. The symbolism of the three heraldic roses sprouting from the heart suggests a reference to the name of the place, while the lions were certainly only accessories - similar to the shield holders on coats of arms, as we can still find them on the portals of earlier castles and manors.
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and included in the approval process.
flag
The flag is striped red and yellow with the coat of arms placed in the middle.
