coat of arms

The coat of arms was awarded on November 25, 1938 by the Upper President of the Province of Saxony.

Blazon : "In silver, a red crossbow with a golden bowstring."

A crossbow was already wielded in an old Schleibnitz seal around 1800, but with a flaccid string. The golden string in the new coat of arms is a symbol of the 20th century. The coat of arms was designed by the graphic artist Willy Kluge , who lives in Osterweddingen .
