Klein Rodensleben is a district of the town of Wanzleben-Börde in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The district of Klein Rodensleben is located south of the small river Schrote in the middle of the poorly forested but very fertile Magdeburg Börde , about 10 km from the city of Magdeburg .
history
A document from the year 888 provides written evidence of its existence. In it, the place is referred to as Rodensleva .
The Protestant village church “St. Pankratius ”with a Romanesque transverse tower is equipped with a remarkable organ from 1748. In 1798 the village was completely destroyed by a fire, the reconstruction of the place dragged on in several stages over 70 years.
The proximity to Magdeburg and the favorable traffic situation (motorways 2 and 14 ) make Klein Rodensleben attractive for new residential and commercial settlements today.
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent communities of Klein Rodensleben, Bottmersdorf , Domersleben , Dreileben , Eggenstedt , Groß Rodensleben and Hohendodeleben as well as the towns of Seehausen and Wanzleben merged to form the new town of Wanzleben-Börde.

The coat of arms was approved on September 15, 1995 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.
Blazon : "In gold on a green three-mountain, a red rose on a green stem with green sepals and a golden lump."
The colors of the former municipality are red and yellow.
A document from 1707 is archived in the Saxony-Anhalt State Archives in Magdeburg, which bears a seal of the citizenship of Klein Rodensleben, which was used in the 18th century. The seal has a diameter of 28 mm and bears the inscription "LVTGEN. ROTENSLEBEN" - meaning Klein Rodensleben. His picture shows an arm coming from the right, picking a rose from a hill or a meadow or touching it. The rose is drawn as a heraldic rose and has leaves on the left and right of the stem.
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg local heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and included in the approval process.

The motorway connections Irxleben ( A 2 ) and Wanzleben ( A 14 ) are each approx. 10 km from the community. The nearby Wellen train station is on the Magdeburg – Braunschweig railway line .
