The Catholic parish church of St. Anna is a listed church building in Fürstenau , a district of Höxter in the Höxter district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

History and architecture

Originally the parish was a branch of Bödexen . The first parts of the building were built in 1519. The substance of today's nave probably originates from the previous church. The foundation stone of the nave from 1560 with the inscription: anno dni MCCCCC - LX (In the year of the Lord 1560) is embedded in the tower facade. Consecrated the church in 1608 was amended by Münster Bishop Nicholas Arresdorf .

A cross-shaped extension was made in 1925.

The font from the second quarter of the 13th century has a round cup shape and an Attic base . A lid made of oak wood was added to it in 1938.
