St. Bartholomew (Nienstädt)

The Church of St. Bartholomew was the Catholic church in Nienstädt , in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony . Most recently it belonged to the parish of St. Joseph with its seat in Stadthagen , in the Weserbergland deanery of the Hildesheim diocese . The church was named after the holy apostle Bartholomäus and was located at Tannenweg 2 (corner of Sülbecker Straße). Today the Catholics in Nienstädt belong to the parish of St. Joseph in Stadthagen.

history

The St. Bartholomew Church was built in 1969 and its benediction took place on April 26 of the same year . She belonged to the parish of St. Joseph in Stadthagen, meanwhile also to Heilig Kreuz in Helpsen .

On November 27, 2010, the profanation by Vicar General Werner Schreer took place , in December 2011 it was demolished. The property was offered for sale.

Architecture and equipment

The church was located around 98 meters above sea level and was built by the diocesan building office as a prefabricated church with a free-standing bell tower.
