St. Bartholomew (Schauenstein)
The parish church of St. Bartholomew is an Evangelical Lutheran parish church in the center of the town of Schauenstein in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
The Bartholomäuskirche is located directly below Schloss Schauenstein and was founded as its chapel. The church burned down several times. The current building is a hall church .
The pulpit altar belongs to the margrave style and , like the organ case, was made by the Knoll family of sculptors .
The oldest epitaph is that of Jörg von Schirnding († 1493), bailiff of Schauenstein with a circumferential minuscule inscription and a central coat of arms, the family coat of arms with the lion .
The church belongs to the ensemble of the city center and is an architectural monument and a ground monument.
