The St. Elisabeth Hospital Geilenkirchen is an acute care hospital in independent public ownership in Geilenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia Heinsberg district . It is an academic teaching hospital of the RWTH Aachen .

history

The hospital was founded in 1872 by the Roman Catholic religious order of Christian women. In 2002 the Christian women transferred the ownership of the house to the St. Elisabeth Hospital Geilenkirchen non-profit GmbH . Its shareholders are the religious order of Christian women eV, Stolberg-Venwegen and the Christian women foundation.
