The St. George River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .

River course

The river arises about 120 km northwest of Cairns in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range from the Kelly St. George River and Spring Creek . It flows in many meanders to the west and flows into the Mitchell River at the settlement of St. George Outstation .
