St. Gertraud (Bolzano)
St. Gertraud in Haslach is a Roman Catholic chapel in Bozen ( Oberau-Haslach district ), dedicated to St. Gertrud von Nivelles is consecrated. The original church building, a branch church of the Bolzano parish , was first mentioned in 1314 and 1364 as the "ecclesia sancte Gedrudis virginis in Haslach" , both on the occasion of testamentary light foundations . The church was renewed in 1445 and rededicated in 1495; around 1450 it is mentioned in a memorandum from the Bolzano parish priest Christof Hasler the Elder . J. referred to as "Sand Gedrautten churches" . In 1778, the Bolzano citizen Johann von Zeno had the church built completely new in late baroque - early classicist forms and painted with ceiling paintings by Carl Henrici . The oil painting on the back wall of the altar, which shows Mary with the Christ Child and St. Barbara, also comes from the latter. The church has been a listed building since 1977 and is not freely accessible.
The parish of St. Gertraud, newly founded in 1967 in the Haslach district, together with the nearby community center of the same name, designed by Othmar Barth in 1976 , took up the name of the old patronage .
