Church building

The oldest part of today's church was built in 1783 in the style of classicism . The longship is still preserved. At the end of the 19th century the church became too small and in 1895 a transept and a new choir were added according to plans by the Trier architect Eberhard Lamberty in a neo-Gothic style . At the end of 1944 the roof turret was destroyed by shell fire, and a temporary bell tower (wooden stand) was erected next to the church. In 1962 a free-standing bell tower was erected next to the church. However, today's church is not the first in Aach. To the northeast of the village in the area "Auf dem Kirchberg" was the old parish church before 1783, which was the patronage of St.John the Baptist owned. Today there are no more traces of the old church apart from the field name.
