St. Josef (Beuel)
The St. Josef Church is a Roman Catholic church building in the Beuel-Mitte district of Bonn .
history
Until the middle of the 19th century, the Catholics in Beuel were part of the parish of St. Paul in Vilich . In 1875 the St. Josefs-Bauverein was established, which acquired the property on which the church stands today. On August 15, 1880, the foundation stone for the construction of the Church of St. Joseph was laid. The first phase of construction was completed in 1882. In 1904 the three-aisled church was consecrated.
Organ system
St. Josef has a two-part organ system, consisting of main organ and choir organ / remote control.
Main organ
The large organ was built in 1981 by the Oberlinger organ builder from Windesheim . The instrument was arranged in the French-Romantic style; The models were the organs of the Notre-Dame cathedral and the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris. Today the instrument has 61 stops on three manual works and a pedal. Grand-Orgue and Récit are equipped with barkers.
