Thomas B. Gaida

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thomas Bernhard Gaida is an organ builder in Wemmetsweiler near Merchweiler in the Saarland . The company was founded in 2002. Gaida specializes primarily in the restoration and restoration of organs . In some of his new buildings, he uses a large number of technical assemblies - especially the pipework and wind chests - from the previous organ. In contrast to most organ builders, Gaida builds new instruments mainly with electric action and cone chests . In addition, Gaida builds in most of his instruments an auxiliary row system characteristic of his organs, in which a few registers of the organ are developed in several footnote registers and can be registered separately from one another on several or all manuals including the pedal. Thus, the sound spectrum of the instruments is expanded many times over.
