The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Josef in Schillingstadt , a part of the Ahorn municipality in the Main-Tauber district , was built in the second half of the 18th century and is consecrated to St. Joseph .

The church was built in 1776.

The Schillingstadter Josefskirche is a branch of the Catholic parish of Berolzheim and belongs to the pastoral care unit Boxberg-Ahorn, which is assigned to the deanery Tauberbischofsheim of the Archdiocese of Freiburg .

Church building and equipment

It is a baroque hall building with a roof turret and a polygonal finish. There is a statue of Joseph in a drilled portal with a niche.

The church has a two-part bell from the Bachert bell foundry from Karlsruhe. The two bells are located in a wooden roof turret placed centrally over the entrance gable of the church. The roof turret has an octagonal floor plan.
