The St. Lawrence sacred buildings dedicated to the former village church of Upper Teutschenthal, today's western district of Teutschenthal. Nothing has been preserved from the original church building, first mentioned in 1129.

The core of the church, a quarry stone building with a square west tower, dates from the 15th century. The church tower is shaped by the Gothic ; in the tower there are acoustic arcades with late Gothic tracery .

The nave, which was renewed in 1617, was lengthened around 1750/1760 and redesigned in Baroque style , just as the mansard roof with the dormer windows date from this period. A so-called Welsche hood from the Baroque period with a lantern crowns the church tower.

The interior is vaulted by a wooden barrel and has a horseshoe gallery and a pulpit altar . In the church there is a plaque commemorating the church jubilee in 1929 by Paul Horn .

There are several baroque tombstones in the churchyard, which is no longer used today.
