St. Leonhard in Heretshausen

The Catholic branch church St. Leonhard is a monument in Heretshausen near Adelzhausen .

history

The pilgrimage church was mentioned as early as 1493 in the Salbuch of the Indersdorf monastery . The choir dates from the end of the 15th century. The nave was probably built around 1700 and changed in the second half of the 19th century.

Building description

St. Leonhard is a flat-roofed hall building with a drawn-in, three-sided closed, ribbed vaulted choir. The roof turret is provided with a pointed helmet .

Furnishing

The furnishings are neo-Gothic , around 1880. The figures in the high altar around 1500 represent Saints Barbara , Leonhard and Martin . A relief of Saint Leonhard as the patron saint of the prisoners, from around the same time, can be seen in the antependium .
