St. Magdalena (Ottobrunn)
The Church of St. Magdalena a Roman Catholic parish church of the Archdiocese of Munich-Freising in Ottobrunn . It is located near the S-Bahn station and bears the patronage of St. Mary Magdalene .
history
With the expansion of the Ottobrunn community to the east and the massive increase in population after the Second World War, it became necessary to set up another pastorate. For this reason, the St. Magdalena Church Foundation was founded in 1958 and the construction of a separate parish church in the immediate vicinity of the municipality boundary to the Hohenbrunn district of Riemerling was tackled. The laying of the foundation stone took place on March 20, 1960 and the inauguration by Cardinal Joseph Wendel took place on November 27 of the same year . St. Mary of Magdala is chosen as the patronage.
